Our Strategy Delivery and Transformation Office (SD & T) is a friendly and busy team, responsible for the management and delivery of strategic change across the University.   

At this exciting time when we are investing in our strategic portfolio, we are seeking an experienced and dynamic Project Manager to join the SD & T team and help deliver the University's new and ambitious strategy. You will be supporting a strategic programme of work that aims to create a world-leading Institute for Medical Innovation that will drive a dramatic step-change in translational research capability at the University of Southampton.

You will work in partnership with the University’s Executive leaders, project sponsors and the Chief of Staff and Chief Strategy Officer, and Assoc Director of the Strategy Delivery and Transformation Office to lead the planning and delivery of specified projects, using the University’s best practice project framework to ensure success. This will include providing regular status reports for stakeholders and ensuring appropriate risk and issue management processes are embedded. 

About you: 

You’ll be a proactive problem solver who can manage multiple priorities to ensure that work is delivered on time to a high standard. You’ll be an engaged team member, but also able to work independently.   

You’ll have a skill level (including experience and other qualifications) equivalent to the achievement of a professional qualification or postgraduate degree. A project management qualification APM Practitioner, MSP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, or equivalent project management qualification desirable.

You’ll be professional, clear thinking and act as a role model within the Strategy Delivery and Transformation Team.
