About the Role

A Project Manager is sought to join the Centre for Primary Care (CPC) to support activity related to the NIHR School of Primary Care Research (SPCR). Queen Mary University of London is a new member of the SPCR, offering an exciting opportunity to join existing members to push forward research addressing the most pressing problems facing primary care in the NHS.

We are seeking a motivated, independent coordinator who can provide high-level management of multiple projects across Research and Capacity Development. This wide-ranging role will allow the post-holder to develop a broad range of skills as a platform for career development.

About You

You must have a strong team-working ethos, and excellent organisational skills. Applicants will have an undergraduate degree or equivalent relevant experience, and a strong track record of project management, ideally within a medical or life sciences discipline.

About the School/Department/Institute/Project

CPC is one of five centres in the Wolfson Institute for Population Health. The Centre has a strong ethos of supporting interdisciplinary work and providing a supportive environment.  The Centre is particularly active in the following research areas:

•           Health data science in primary care

•           Common chronic respiratory conditions

•           Other long term conditions, including diabetes and childhood obesity, and multimorbidity

•           Polypharmacy for self-management

•           Cancer in primary care, in particular early detection

•           Environmental influence on health, including air quality

The post is based at the Whitechapel Campus in London. It is part-time (0.9 FTE/31.5 hours), fixed-term appointment until 31.03.2026, with an expected start date of Jan 2022. The starting salary will be Grade 5, in the range of £38,655 - £44,256 per annum (pro-rata), inclusive of London Allowance.
