Project Manager of an international consortium project

We are a university with ten faculties, more than 200 departments, institutes and clinics operating in a broad disciplines and research areas ranging across natural sciences, social sciences and humanities. We are looking for a project manager for the Grant Department of the Research Office at the Rectorate of Masaryk University for a large-scale international project CHESS (Cyber-security Excellence Hub in Estonia and South Moravia). Masaryk University is the coordinator of the project under the Excellence Hubs pilot call in Horizon Europe. The project is four-year long with a total budget of EUR 5 million.

The aim of the project is to develop research and innovation cooperation between the South Moravian Region and Estonia in the field of cybersecurity, involving 12 partners (9 full and 3 associated) and integrating a wide range of institutions from the regional innovation ecosystem.

What will be your job description?

  • Management of a project implemented by an international consortium
  • Monitoring of the project work plan and coordination of the international project team
  • Ongoing monitoring of the project and preparation of reports for the funding provider
  • Organisation of meetings of the consortium's governing bodies
  • Supervision of the organisation of project events
  • Methodological and organizational support for project participants
  • Work trips to partner sites in Estonia

  • University degree
  • Excellent English in both writing and speaking
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Good user knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel, Word and Powerpoint, Teams)
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own time

This position is being advertised for the purpose of a 4-year project. The first contract is for 1 year.
