Summary of the role 

To support the management and co-ordination of the ISS project, an international project providing scientific expertise to inform long-term monitoring activities on a large nature reserve in Saudi Arabia. The ISS project includes international partners from industry and academia - a steering group at the University of Exeter, world-leading specialists from University of Exeter staff, staff from the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), other universities and non-university research institutes.  

As the Project Coordinator for the ISS project, you will coordinate and help steer the project, including all associated supporting administration. You will act as a key point for all partners of the multidisciplinary team and external stakeholders. The primary role of the Project Coordinator will be to facilitate the delivery of project activities, monitoring progress against deliverables and coordinate admin tasks for successful delivery of project milestones. This will involve: 

• Supporting relationships with partners and ensuring effective communications 
• Arranging and attending regular meetings (both in-person and virtual), taking minutes, and following up on meeting actions; 
• Managing and keeping updated a project folder on the University’s OneDrive system, and be responsible for the curation of materials hosted on it; 
• Managing project budgets, costings and requests for expenditures; 
• Booking travel arrangements for project work and other administrative tasks relating to the project 

• Contracting and onboarding temporary workers recruited to the project; 
• Visiting project partners in the Red Sea region up to four times a year.
