Flexible working patterns will be considered.

It is anticipated that a hybrid working pattern can be adopted for this role, where the successful candidate can work from home and the office. However, as this role is contractually aligned to our Milton Keynes office it is expected that some attendance in the office will be required when necessary and in response to business needs. We’d expect this to be no more than once a month.

Full time starting salary is £30,487 to £31,396 per annum (pro rata), with potential progression when in post to £36,024 per annum depending on the length of contract.

Internal candidates already within the salary banding will remain on their current spinal point as per policy.

The role

The Global Development Team within WELS are looking for a highly motived Project Coordinator who will support the delivery of the Fleming Fund Phase II (OU Global Learning Grant 3). The Fleming Fund aims to respond to the global threat of drug-resistant infections, also known as antimicrobial resistance (AMR). The Open University is the Global Learning partner for the Fleming Fund and has developed a number of online learning courses . In the current phase, the Open University will focus on evaluation, revision, expansion and monitoring of the online learning courses. The post holder will play a key role in supporting and developing this project, in order to maximise successful completion of its deliverables.

Skills and experience

  • Experience of coordinating projects, keeping to specific timelines and delivering on objectives
  • Experience of managing sensitive and confidential data
  • Excellent written and communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders
  • Strong ICT skills
