This UKRI funded full-time fixed term post is available from 17th April 2023 to 31st December 2024 in Innovation, Impact and Business, (University of Exeter Business School, part of the Faculty of Environment, Science & Economy) until 31 December 2024. The post is 1.0 FTE and the appointee can work remotely or be based at the Streatham Campus in Exeter or Penryn Campus.

Summary of the role/position

We are seeking an outstanding and highly motivated Project Coordinator to support the delivery of the UKRI National Interdisciplinary Circular Economy Hub (CE-Hub) which is part of the £30M UKRI National Circular Economy Research (NICER) Programme including five UK Circular Economy Centres of Excellence. The aim of the programme is to accelerate interdisciplinary research, innovation and impact to scale up a UK Circular Economy.  

The Project Coordinator will play a key role in the success of the CE research hub which is held at the Exeter Centre for the Circular Economy (ECCE) in the University of Exeter’s Business School. They will work closely with Katie Cooke, IPDM CE Hub Project Manager to support the Principal Investigators Professors Peter Hopkinson and Fiona Charnley. The purpose of the research hub is to harness the UK's leading research capabilities; creating new knowledge, tools, behaviours and relationships to capture economic, social and environmental value from a Circular Economy and resource revolution. The HUB will inspire and nurture a more inclusive, restorative, regenerative and competitive UK Circular Economy of the future. 

The successful candidate will be a key member of the project team, involved in the planning and monitoring of project activities (working on plans already in place), updating a website, delivery our social media and communications strategy and supporting the organisation and successful delivery of events involving various stakeholders. S/he will liaise with project members and national and international partners, university colleagues, the media and the public, and will contribute to the delivery of activities, including organising and diary management of communication requirements between multiple stakeholders across academic, policy and industry, supporting team members and updating and maintenance of a network database. The project coordinator will work with relevant Clusters and teams in the Research Services and Innovation, Impact & Business Division to help support the Research Hub.
