Supporting the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences: Psychology, Cedar

We wish to recruit an Associate Lecturer (Project Co-ordinator) to support the development, co-ordination and implementation of projects around equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI), expert by experience (EbE) and adult CBT training portfolio activity. 

This part-time (0.5 FTE) post is available from March 2024 on a fixed term basis until July 31st 2025 within Clinical Education Development and Research (Cedar).

About the role

Cedar is an applied psychological centre of excellence whose core mission is to grow and develop the psychological workforce, maximising impact through training and development, service transformation alongside research and evaluation.  In doing so, we aim to ensure access to evidence based psychological practice that leads to positive outcomes for service-users, service providers and funders across England and beyond.  


This Project Co-ordinator post will be split between two areas: The first aim of the role is to provide project co-ordination around the successful embedding of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion and Expert by Experience participation into Cedar activity. You will work with the EDI executive and working groups, EbE working group, EbE co-ordinator and Cedar Directors to ensure the efficient and effective co-ordination and delivery of actions to meaningfully embed EDI and EbE involvement, in accordance with Cedar’s education strategy. The second aim of the role is to provide co-ordination of the adult CBT portfolio within Cedar, which encompasses the High Intensity CBT training programme, Mental Health Wellbeing training programme, and Severe Mental Health-CBT training programme. You will work with the Director of Portfolio and respective Programme Leads to ensure the efficient and effective co-ordination across training programmes, supporting both the delivery of training and engagement of and reporting to key stakeholders.
