Applications are invited for a RAPTOR Study Coordinator, to work in a team with Dr Brian Nicholson on a research study called ‘The Rapid Community Testing for COVID-19 (RAPTOR-C19)’. RAPTOR C-19 is a research study set up to assess the accuracy of different rapid tests for COVID-19 for patients in the community e.g GP surgeries.

The successful applicant will be a member of the RAPTOR Study Team based out of the Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health (PHC) Sciences, Oxford.  They will collaborate very closely with Practice Liaison Officers in the Research Surveillance Centre (also based out of PHC), local and national Clinical Research Network (CRN) representatives, participating sites and GP practices throughout the UK, and the external agency providing the electronic data collection platform, uMed.

The purpose of this role is to coordinate the RAPTOR Study and support RAPTOR recruiting sites across the UK to encourage and maintain recruitment. You will ensure good working relationships and communications with  practices across the country. Be the first point of contact for clinical staff, research teams and CRN members for the provision of information and advice on the study. Oversee the logistics for getting new recruiting practices up and running and supplied with the necessary materials.   

You will have a degree level qualification or equivalent experience, be able to work flexibly and idependantly, have strong planning and project management skills along with excellent organisational skills. Excellent communication and customer service delivery is essential to this role

You will be based out of the Radcliffe Primary Care Building, Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences, Radcliffe Primary Care Building, Woodstock Road, Oxford, OX2 6GG.   

The position is funded by the MSD and the NIHR for 12 months.
