This new part-time (0.2 FTE) post is available immediately on a fixed term basis until 31 December 2023 in Research Services. There is a possibility that the post will be extended if additional funds become available.

Summary of the role

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to an EU-funded research project based in the College of Social Sciences and International Studies and involving a team of scholars and international partners. The role will involve project administration for the ERC Advanced grant TWICEASGOOD: Twice as Hard, Half as Good? Women Candidates’ Experience of Sexism on the Campaign Trail.  The project, led by Professor Susan Banducci, has received funding from the European Research Council (ERC) under the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme (grant agreement No 101019284).

The role will involve supporting the project team through general administration, travel arrangements, organisation of events, and liaison with internal and external partners.

The successful candidate will have excellent administration and organisational skills, with prior experience of event organisation.  The ability to prioritise a demanding workload and to work independently is crucial.  Experience of administrative support is required.
