Job Type: FullTime
Deadline: 17 Mar 2024

This is an exciting opportunity for a high calibre individual to join the professional support team for a key strategic priority for the University of Warwick, the Social Sciences Grand Challenge (SSGC) Programme.

As a key component of the University’s 2030 Strategy, the SSGC is a transformational change programme that will position Warwick as a regional, national, and international powerhouse and leader for social scientific enquiry with real-world application and impact with resultant benefits for the University as a whole.

The SSGC is a major element of the University’s Strategy and encompasses plans for an ambitious academic transformation programme in Social Sciences supported by investment in the supporting capital infrastructure. The SSGC's transformation programme will contribute to the University's Vision 2030 Strategy across all of its key areas of Education, Research, External Engagement, and Services & Organisation. The capital project necessary to enable the delivery of this wider academic transformation programme will create a sector-leading Social Sciences Campus Quarter that brings Social Sciences Departments together. This will result in a dynamic, inclusive, and open environment in which every member of the faculty (student, academic and professional service) is supported to achieve excellence in research and education, and to positively impact the world.

The Social Sciences Grand Challenge is currently recruiting for a Programme Officer to join the Faculty based Programme team for the next three years. The successful candidate will be based in the Social Sciences Faculty Office. The SSGC Programme Officer will work closely with both the Senior Management Team of the Faculty of Social Sciences and the Leads of the SSGC, supporting them to ensure all aspects of Programme delivery are aligned with the strategic vision for the SSGC.

The role is offered as a fixed term post for three years in the first instance. We will also consider applications on a secondment basis.
