Job description

The Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience’s Education Support Team is looking for a Programme Officer to offer high-quality administrative support to within the EST Postgraduate Research (PGR) team. The role holder will provide high quality administrative support for the Postgraduate Research (PGR) team and the research programmes (MPhil/PhD and MD(Res)) in the Faculty. The role supports all key stakeholders throughout the PGR student lifecycle from enrolment through to graduation and beyond. 

Providing essential support to PGR students and academics within this school, the role holder will work as a member of the wider programme administration team to ensure consistent management and delivery of the PGR provision through providing high quality administrative support. The Programme Officer provides a professional, supportive, responsive and personable service supporting processes across the PGR lifecycle, ensuring accurate and timely record management across multiple systems.

As the first point of contact for PGR students and academic staff in the Faculty, the role holder is actively involved in activities such as studentship advertising, Research Passport and DBS application processing. The role holder is also responsible for accurate student records keeping across multiple systems and for drafting communications for staff and students (including the PGR newsletter) as well as ensuring that information on the Faculty PGR information sites is up to date. Additionally, the role holder organises events such as the induction for new students.

King’s College London operates a hybrid working policy and the post holder will be required to be on campus in Denmark Hill a minimum of 2 days a week.

This post will be offered on an indefinite contract. 

This is a full-time post.
