The College of Medicine and Health has an exciting opportunity for a full-time permanent Programme Manager to work with the Exeter Clinical Trials Unit on an exciting new Programme Grant starting in February 2022.

The post

With responsibility to the Chief Investigator, the Programme Manager will oversee the NIHR funded programme grant, TIMES, which seeks to examine the clinical, social and cost effectiveness  of a decision support tool to optimise community –based tailored management of sleep for people living with dementia or mild cognitive impairment and sleep disturbance. The candidate will be expected to work to the highest research standards, being responsible for the delivery of the whole programme, including acting as the Trial Manager. 

Working closely with the principal investigator and co-investigators, the Programme Manager will contribute to and help shape the development of the TIMES programme, ensuring that project targets are delivered on time and on budget, including the delivery of the Trial. They will ensure that all project activities are co-ordinated and manage a small team for staff, be the first point of contact for information and communication and undertake activities from PPIE to the coordination of the design of the intervention.

The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the CTU Trial management group and lead process improvement and help develop our trial managers of the future. 

Exeter Clinical Trials Unit (ExeCTU)  is a UKCRC registered University of Exeter supported facility and works in collaboration with researchers and clinicians in the design and delivery of high quality and efficient controlled trials and other well-designed studies addressing important health questions. The post holder will be supported by an experienced team of trialists within the ExeCTU.
