Overview of the Role

Do you have the skills and experience to support the evaluation, development, and implementation of innovative ideas and inventions in healthcare? Do you understand how innovation can benefit healthcare delivery for colorectal, hepatobiliary and vascular surgery? 

We are seeking an enthusiastic programme manager with leadership and team skills with excellent communication, strategic planning, coordination and project management experience to support the successful delivery of the NIHR Leeds Healthtech Research Centre objectives.

The successful candidate will work directly with the HRC Theme Leads and their teams in support of research conducted and will have overall operational management responsibility for the HRC on a day to day basis. You will be involved in a wide range of activities including supporting funding applications, providing project management support to large research projects, developing and implementing processes and procedures for the coordination of research and contributing to long term sustainability. You will be a member of the Senior Management Team and will work with colleagues across the University and Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust to ensure strong coordination of the HRC research project portfolio.

Through your knowledge and experience of healthcare and/or academic research and research funder environments you will have an excellent understanding of the research and governance policies and processes which are relevant to the University and NHS . You will also have significant experience of costing projects  and direct experience of having provided research support in a healthcare research environment would be advantageous.
