We are seeking to appoint a fixed-term Programme Area Manager (1 year Maternity Cover) to join the Programme Administration Team within the Henley Business School, at the Whiteknights campus of University of Reading.

As a Programme Area Manager you will provide leadership and support for the consistent and integrated delivery of Henley Business School Undergraduate and Pre-experience Postgraduate Programmes delivered at overseas locations.

We are looking for someone with a positive attitude, a problem-solving approach and the ability to work across a variety of teams within Henley Business School and the wider University of Reading, as well as with colleagues based internationally. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a variety of non-UK based staff to support Partnership programme delivery at Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT) in China and delivery of Henley Business School programmes at the University of Reading Malaysia (UoRM) branch campus. The role also includes a fantastic opportunity for input into development and oversight of processes and systems in relation to emergent partnership agreements.  For example, in the next year Henley will be finalizing operational requirements for two new key partnerships in China.

You will have:

  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills
  • Intercultural sensitivity and experience of cross-cultural communications
  • Strong commitment to excellence and accountability, with the perspective and credibility to work effectively with all levels of staff.
  • Strong administrative background with excellent planning and organisational skills, ideally with experience of project management
  • Good knowledge of UK HE institutional policies and procedures, specifically examination and assessment processes
