Our department

Strathclyde Business School (SBS) has excellent people, a strong research profile, links to business and industry, and synergies between learning innovations and research.

The Department of Work, Employment and Organisation (WEO) is one of the UK’s major centres of research in and about people, organisations, work and the workplace. Our work across all these areas is theory-led, policy relevant and focused on professional application. We are Scotland’s leading centre for research, knowledge exchange and education in human resource management (HRM), employment and organisational studies, including hospitality and tourism management where we are rated No 1 in the UK (The Complete University Guide 2019). We are particularly keen to receive applications from experienced scholars with a track record of research leadership in Digital Leadership. We recognise the importance and differences of leadership in a digital economy and the criticality of Digital Leadership in driving productivity, innovation and economic wealth and we are keen to grow our team by recruiting excellent talent in this area.
