This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate with a proven track record of delivering excellent research in Psychology to lead an exciting growth area within the new Department of Psychology in the School of Social Sciences, Humanities and Law.
The Department comprises approximately 40 staff members across branches of psychology, including both academic and practitioner psychologists, and delivers BPS accredited postgraduate courses in forensic, health, counselling and clinical psychology alongside BPS accredited undergraduate programmes.
The successful candidate will have a background in research that aligns with at least one of the Department's existing focusses health, forensic or cognitive psychology. With excellent professional networks the successful candidate will lead the work of the Centre for Applied Psychological Science (https://research.tees.ac.uk/en/organisations/centre-for-applied-psychological-science ) and will bring to this role an emphasis on research knowledge and leadership of subjects including, but not restricted to: health, forensic and cognitive psychology.
The successful candidate will have excellent professional networks that will support research income generation and the leadership of knowledge exchange and public policy impact. With a proven track record of success in supervising doctoral students, the successful candidate will provide leadership of doctoral training in Psychology and contribute to the expansion of opportunities for new PhD candidates.
