Professor of Psychology of Education

The School of Education at the University of Bristol is seeking an exceptionally motivated individual to join our interdisciplinary and dynamic team at the highly prestigious University of Bristol. We are seeking to appoint a highly experienced individual as a Professor of Psychology of Education (Grade M, profile 1e). Successful candidates will join our thriving internationally renowned team of Education specialists and be immersed in our highly ranked research environment (1st in REF 2021 ) and outstanding teaching programmes (1st in Guardian University Guide 2024).

This is a Pathway one role, and the post-holders contribution will span teaching, research, and leadership/administration with the successful candidates possessing research expertise in social psychology broadly defined, with demonstrable experience of teaching on successful undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and  the supervision of students.  The successful candidate will engage with and contribute to the intellectual life of the School developing interdisciplinary and collaborative research bids and scholarly projects (e.g. supporting Early Career Researchers, stimulating research centre activity, etc) and contribute to the development and oversight of teaching courses and programmes at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels within the School.

This represents a fantastic opportunity to work with the internationally renowned team at the School of Education and candidates who can clearly articulate how they can complement and strengthen our current provision are welcomed.  As this role is at professor level candidates should also be able to demonstrate strong leadership experience and a extensive track record of publication in high quality outlets and of securing research funding.  Potential for impact of your work is also of particular interest.
