The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Liverpool is embarking on an exciting period of growth of its academic staff base. We are now looking for a high calibre colleague to join us at Professorial level to help deliver multidisciplinary world-class civil engineering research in the key area of structural engineering materials, whilst also providing innovative, research-led teaching input to our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. 

We are looking for a passionate researcher with ambitious future research plans who has an established track record of academic endeavour. This will include papers in internationally leading journals in their field and an excellent track record of grant capture.  As Professor in structural engineering materials, you will play a key role in helping us achieve our goals, developing new research collaborations and projects addressing key global environmental and humanitarian challenges with a focus on the civil engineering contributions to net zero, green energy, climate crisis, and resilience.
