The University of Exeter is seeking to make a Professor appointment in Net-Zero Electrical Power and Energy Systems within the Department of Engineering. The post will primarily support further growth of research and teaching activities in the area of net-zero electrical energy systems and smart grids at the University. 

The post will be based in the Centre for Smart Grid (Renewable–Exeter, a part of Renewable Energy Research Group) directed by Professor Zhongdong Wang, a part of the Engineering department, led by Professor Ion Sucala (www.exeter.ac.uk/engineering ). Engineering currently has over 80 academic staff across our Exeter (Streatham) and Cornwall (Penryn) campuses. Academics in Streatham have particular expertise in simulation, optimisation and machine learning, water systems engineering, computational analysis, nano-engineering, vibration engineering, materials and manufacturing, biomedical engineering and electrical energy systems & smart grids.
