This role is an exciting opportunity for a graduate with experience of working in a manufacturing environment to take on a strategic project with the support of mentors from Metal Assemblies, Aston University and Innovate UK. The project will implement digitalisation of key business operations and production control processes by adopting an Industry 4.0 approach. You will co-lead this innovative project to drive productivity improvements and increase business growth in the competitive automotive sector by working with world leading companies. 

Candidate Profile:

You will have a first degree in either production engineering and ideally a higher degree in business, operations and computing. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Knowledge of operations management tools
  • Good mathematical and statistical knowledge
  • Good command of databases to store, organise and analyse data
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Enthusiasm and maturity to take ownership of all aspects of project management
  • Ability to manage and deliver project objectives successfully and in a timely manner
  • Good interpersonal skills to communicate across functions and embed skills through collaborative working
  • Aspirations to be an effective manager of business change
