Aston Business School and the College of Business and Social Sciences are central to the mission and to the success of the institution. Aston Business School is one of the top triple-accredited business schools in the world. It is renowned for its high levels of student satisfaction, educational innovation and the impact of its research centres on business and government policy globally. The College is the largest at Aston University by a number of measures, including student numbers, income, number of academic staff and business engagement. Aston Law School has grown rapidly since its inception, with a focus on business law and related disciplines such as IP. The School of Social Sciences and Humanities undertakes highly-regarded teaching and research in sociology, politics, linguistics, culture and history. 

Reporting directly to Aston’s new Vice-Chancellor, Professor Aleks Subic, the successful candidate will bring inspirational leadership to Aston Business School and the College of Business and Social Sciences. As a Pro-Vice-Chancellor, they will also play a central part in the development of Aston’s university strategy for 2030. Balancing business authority and academic credibility, candidates will be committed to teaching excellence in business, law and social sciences, to strong graduate employability, to widening access to higher education and to growing business engagement.
