Can you provide the strategic vision and leadership for student education in our large and complex Faculty? Are you passionate about delivering an exceptional student experience in an international and interdisciplinary context?

Working with the Deputy Vice-Chancellor: Student Education and the Executive Dean of Arts, Humanities and Cultures, you will play a major strategic role in contributing to strategic developments within the University and determining, leading and implementing the strategy for student education within the Faculty.

You will have the leadership skills, ambition and creativity to take forward the development of the Faculty’s portfolio of student education programmes, lead on the Faculty’s recruitment and educational engagement strategies and deliver the Faculty’s learning and teaching strategic objectives in providing a high quality student academic experience. You will be supported by two Deputy Pro-Deans who will deputise for you as necessary and appropriate across the full range of student education activity.

Working with and through appropriate University and Faculty structures, you will seek to identify and develop opportunities for new initiatives and programmes, inter- and intra-Faculty cooperation, and will take the lead responsibility for promoting and monitoring teaching quality assurance and enhancement. You will be an active member of the University’s Leadership Forum and of the Faculty Executive Group, promoting a coordinated approach to delivering innovative strategic academic development. You will be taking on a significant and complex leadership role and must be able to lead with a clear vision and engage others across the Faculty and the University.

You will thrive on working collaboratively in a busy and dynamic environment to enhance the reputation of the Faculty with a focus on quality and excellence. Academic credibility is essential.
