Principal Research Scientist, Digital Innovation

Energy Research Institute @ NTU invites applications for the position of Principal Research Scientist.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead team to manage Internet-of-Things (IoT), Advanced Metering Infrastructure(AMI)-related, Smart Buildings Data Platform and developing new AI/ML energy applications
• Development of an IoT/AI/ML product line for energy applications
• Strong Singapore market exposure
• In depth understanding and experience in innovation management practises, including market research, technology landscaping and scouting, business model analysis, concept generation, prototyping and go to market strategies
• Ability to negotiate and manage requirement specification for Large Scale Projects across multiple technologies specifically on IoT/Artificial Intelligence
• Definition and Execution of Delivery management methods for large scale commercialisation projects involving IHLs, SMEs and Start-ups technologies
• Drives SME & Startups to develop novel innovative solutions for renewable generation, electric vehicle charging, building energy efficiency solutions, energy storage, digital twin and artificial intelligence (AI) optimization platform

Job Requirements:

• Master’s or PhD degree in engineering
• Minimum 10 years of experience in the field of energy, IoT and working with large companies
• Know-How on IoT applications for Energy Efficiency and Grid Applications
• Project management
• In depth understanding and experience in innovation management practises, including market research, technology landscaping and scouting, business model analysis, concept generation, prototyping and go to market strategies
• Knowledge in Artificial Intelligence applications, IOT platforms and communication
• Experience in implementation of IoT platforms technologies
• Thought leader, and/or technology commercialization expert
