The School: 

The School of Supply Chain and Logistics is a relatively new school within the Faculty of Business.  The current MSc Operations and Supply Chain Management has been designed to enable digital and blended teaching practices based on sound pedagogic principles to deliver learning which will meet the need of 21 Century students. Going forward, the School of Supply Chain and Logistics will develop and expand its programme offering with a suite of Undergraduate, Degree Apprenticeship, Postgraduate and short courses.   

The Opportunity:

The Principal Lecturer is a subject expert, providing academic leadership within the School of Supply Chain and Logistics, supporting the Head of School. They are responsible for an allocated (current and future) portfolio of Supply Chain and Logistics programmes, achieving targets in student progression, student outcomes and satisfaction (internal and external surveys), and continually enhancing existing programmes. They will be responsible for recruitment of academic staff in the School and potentially undertake teaching and related duties on programmes relevant to their area of expertise, where possible. They will lead staff development within their allocation of programmes and work closely with the Head of School to contribute to the delivery of Arden’s ambitious strategic plan.

About You:

The ideal candidate has a track record to lead, deliver, develop, and monitor postgraduate and undergraduate programmes, ensuring high levels of student outcomes. This includes the ability to represent the University and its values, promoting the University and programme at external and internal events and collaborate effectively with other academic colleagues and key stakeholders across the University.
