This new full-time role is available immediately on a permanent basis.

The Admissions office is currently operating a hybrid approach to work with a combination of office and home based working; the majority of which is currently based at home but with the expectation that you can regularly work in the office as required.

Summary of the role

As part of the Admissions Team, you be responsible for the management and operation of the Postgraduate Taught Admissions Team to ensure that we provide an efficient and responsive admissions service, in order to meet and exceed the expectations of applicants, client Faculties within the University and to ensure immigration compliance within the admissions process.  You will also work closely with colleagues in the International Office to support the University’s ambitious internationalisation strategy. 

You will work with the Head of Admissions to ensure an appropriate response to external, legislative and environmental changes that affect admissions of handling applications and making decisions.

About you

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has detailed knowledge of admissions processes, including knowledge of international trends and changes to education systems.
  • Has experience of the technical processes which underpin admissions processes and ability to use that knowledge to commission system changes.
  • Can demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to form good working relationships with fellow admissions staff, key colleagues from our Faculties, the International Recruitment Team and other relevant stakeholders within the University. 
  • You will also need to demonstrate excellent communication skills in order to respond in a calm, clear and friendly manner to enquiries from applicants as well to our internal stakeholders
  • Have excellent staff management and leadership skills and someone who is able to deal with a wide range of complex issues simultaneously.
