The Role

The purpose of this role is to support the promotion and delivery of postgraduate research activities, through the development of social media platforms, marketing materials, and website content. you will coordinate and support postgraduate coordinators in open day planning and provision, liaising with central University services as required. you will support student facing PGR activities, including maintaining the PGR VLE, scheduling and promoting student training, and providing practical support for online, in-person and hybrid student events. you will also be the subsidiary contact for postgraduate research students and supervisors in the Faculty on related matters, providing excellent customer service and supporting the Research Student Coordinators in provision of specialist advice and guidance on relevant University processes


The Person

You will be educated to 'A’ level standard or equivalent and must have obtained a GCSE in English Language and Mathematics or equivalent at a minimum of Grade C. As well as literacy and numeracy skills, you will have the ability to write and speak good, clear English.

You will have relevant experience of working in Higher Education and experience of providing professional support and advice to staff and customers.

You will have experience in using a range of information and communications technology (ICT); good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and experience of website development and social media management.

You will have an understanding of the principles of excellence in customer service and an understanding of principles of equality, diversity and inclusion.

This is a part time, permenant position with a starting salary of £12,908.40 per annum for the 0.4 FTE (40% pro rata to £32,271.00 per annum).
