We seeking a Postdoctoral Scientist to be part of Professor Eggeling’s Nano-Immunology group within the Radcliffe Department of Medicine. The postholder will be based at the Weatherall Institute of Molecular Medicine, Oxford. The successful candidate will be involved in research in peroxisomal protein import, exploiting the usage of advanced fluorescence microscopy (such as super-resolution microscopy) to study the dynamics and organisation of molecules related to peroxisomal protein import.
As our Postdoctoral Scientist, you will design and perform research work for observing details of the spatial organisation and interaction dynamics of molecules involved in peroxisomal protein import in cells using advanced fluorescence microscopy - in addition to many other responsibilities.
You will hold a PhD in biological sciences and have experience in the investigation of peroxisomal proteins in fixed and live cells using fluorescence microscopy.
The post is full-time and fixed-term for 6 months in the first instance.
Applications for this vacancy are to be made online. You will be required to upload a supporting statement and CV as part of your online application.
Only applications received before 12.00 midday on Friday 11 August 2017 will be considered.
