Postdoctoral Scientist in Advanced T cell Therapeutics

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated Postdoctoral Scientist to join our research program.  A number of research projects are available, involving T cell receptor discovery, T cell manufacture and gene engineering.

Working closely with Professor Ronjon Chakraverty, you will carry out research in the area of advanced T cell therapeutics. You will be responsible for developing methods for genetic manipulation and analysis of T cells being developed for clinical use.

Applicants will hold (or be close to completion: thesis submitted at time of application) a PhD/DPhil in biosciences or a relevant field, together with sufficient specialist knowledge in the discipline to work within established research programmes.  Significant laboratory experience in a relevant area (one or more of immune cell culture, multiparameter flow cytometry, genome engineering, molecular biology methods and bioinformatics) is essential. Prior experience in bioinformatics (R/Python) and immunological assays are desirable.

There is the possibility to underfill at grade 6 for candidates that hold an Honours or Master’s degree in the biomedical sciences and laboratory research experience in a relevant area, with an adjustment to responsibilities.

The post is full-time and fixed-term until 31 March 2024.
