We have an exciting opportunity for a Postdoctoral Researcher. Reporting to Professor Anne Kiltie, Department of Oncology and Professor Eleanor Stride, Institute of Biomedical Engineering. The post holder will be part of two enthusiastic research teams investigating approaches to chemoradiation in bladder cancer with minimal normal tissue toxicity, and stimuli-responsive drug delivery.

The work will involve fabrication of drug-loaded ultrasound-responsive particles, deployment of ultrasound for imaging and controlled drug release, in vivo work using the orthotopic bladder cancer model and SARRP irradiation, flow cytometry and ELISA.

You will hold a relevant PhD/DPhil or close to completion. You will have experience of recent work as a Home Office (or equivalent) Personal Licence holder. The successful candidate will possess sufficient specialist knowledge and have previous experience contributing to publications, contributing new ideas to generate research income. Experience of independently managing a discrete area of a research project and collaborating in the development of research articles is advantageous.

This is a full-time post and there may also be the requirement to participate in an out of hours/weekend rota. The post is available for 1 year in the first instance.
