Deadline: 03 Jun 2019

We have a new and exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Postdoctoral Researcher to contribute to the research of the Radiopharmacy and Molecular Imaging Group, led by Dr Bart Cornelissen. The aim of the Group is the development of novel PET and SPECT imaging agents for oncology.

You will undertake research into the imaging of DNA damage in vitro and in vivo using SPECT and PET imaging, using radiolabelled PARP inhibitors. The project may involve some (radio)chemistry, depending on expertise, and will focus on in vitro and in vivo evaluation of radiolabelled compounds based on small molecule inhibitors of PARP.

You will have a PhD (or be working towards) in chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology or a related science, with a strong interest in cancer biology and/or imaging. Strong experimental skills and a demonstrated ability to design and carry out laboratory studies using a range of biomedical imaging techniques are essential requirements of the role. A Home Office personal licence (PIL) would be advantageous.
