The Translational Neuropsychology group, led by Prof Demeyere, aims to bridge neuropsychology knowledge and practice to broader health challenges, including stroke and dementia. We are integrating neuropsychology in a multidisciplinary approach through collaboration with clinical and allied health professionals, such as the development and implementation of sensitive clinical tools for relevant cognitive phenotyping in the acute hospital setting. Reporting to the Principal Investigator, Prof Demeyere.  

The post holder is a member of the translational neuropschology research group with responsibility for carrying out research relating to psychometric validation of computer tablet based cognitive screening. The post holder provides guidance to junior members of the research group including research assistants, PhD students, and/or project volunteers.

It is essential that you have a PhD in Psychology (awarded or submitted/near completion) and have excellent statistical and data management skills, including expertise in psychometric validation.

It is desirable that you have familiarity with research governance and experience with NHS ethics.

The post is part time, 20% FTE for a fixed term of 12 months in the first instance.
