We are looking to appoint two Postdoctoral Researchers to undertake a project on ethnicity and multimorbidity.   The work is led by Professor Kam Bhui in Oxford, with University, NHS and NGO partners around England.   The posts are based in the in the Department of Psychiatry, at the Warneford Hospital.

The posts are for a fixed term (funded from 1st March 2023 to 31 May 2026).

You will use photovoice to gather in depth experience of health and social care from people of diverse ethnic groups with psychosis and other multiple long-term health conditions, from health and social care professionals and carers.  You will work with members of the research team to evaluate satisfaction with existing care systems and learn lessons to improve integrated care.

You should have or be close to the completion of a relevant PhD together with relevant experience.   With knowledge and skills in experience-based co-design and analysis of visual and narrative data, you will have expertise in working with vulnerable people with severe mental illness and multiple morbidities, to ensure they are supported during the recruitment, and the research process.    Experience of photovoice research and peer research within a participatory framework would be desirable.
