We are seeking to appoint up to two talented and experienced Postdoctoral Research Scientists to join Professor Fraydoon Rastinejad’s new research group located at the NDM Research Building to study a family of mammalian bHLH-PAS transcription factors. The successful applicants will utilise their existing expertise in molecular biology, protein biochemistry, and biophysical screening to assess the ligand-binding capabilities of these transcription factors.

You will manage own academic research and administrative activities. This involves small scale project management, and co-ordinating multiple aspects of work to meet deadlines. In addition you will adapt existing and develop new scientific techniques and experimental protocols and test hypotheses and analyse scientific data from a variety of sources, reviewing and refining working hypotheses as appropriate.

You must hold or be close to completion of a relevant PhD/DPhil, together with relevant experience and possess sufficient specialist knowledge in the discipline to work within established research programmes

This full-time position is fixed-term until 31 August 2023.
