The Department of Economics, in partnership with Nuffield College, offers full-time Postdoctoral Research Fellowship openings for candidates who hold a PhD in a relevant field or are close to completion. The fellowships offer early career researchers the opportunity to develop their research portfolio within one of the world’s leading Economics departments and so strengthen their future position in the academic job market.

You will hold a PhD in a relevant field or be close to completion. You will have the ability to present research findings effectively, to innovate and work effectively with colleagues and play a part in developing the department’s research programme, as well being able to teach high-achieving and challenging graduate students. Additionally you will possess excellent oral and written communication skills and be willing to contribute more generally to the intellectual life of the Department and the College.

Fellowships are full-time and tenable for a fixed-term of 3 years from September 2018. Fellows gain teaching experience via a minimal teaching load which will not exceed 30 hours annually. Consideration will be given to any field of specialisation.
