The above full-time (1.0 FTE) position is available as soon as possible on a fixed term (until December 2028) basis. This role offers the opportunity for hybrid working – some time on campus and some from home.

The post
We are seeking an experienced researcher (up to 1.0 FTE) to join a small, focused team that will be conducting responsive, high quality systematic reviews to support pressing public health issues. The team will form the core of the Public Health Review Team, a group funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) Public Health Research Programme to address public health priorities. The new review team is a collaboration between the University of Exeter with Cardiff University and the University of Birmingham. For the successful applicant, this new programme of work represents an exciting opportunity to conduct innovative evidence syntheses which aim to embed evidence into the development and implementation of public health.

About you
You will be a researcher with experience of systematic review methods with a specific focus on public health quantitative evidence and public health policy, and a career commitment to health research. You should be able to demonstrate sufficient knowledge in the discipline and of research methods and techniques to work within an established research programme.
