Deadline: 06 Feb 2022

College of Life and Environmental Sciences

This full-time post is available from 1 March 2022 on a fixed term basis until 30 September 2022, with possibility of extension (to a total of 12 months, subject to negotiation with the funder). This role offers the opportunity for hybrid working – some time on campus and some from home.

The post

The Global Systems Institute wishes to recruit a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to support the work of Prof. Tim Lenton and collaborator Ash Ghadiali on a new Open Society Foundation funded project, ‘Addressing the New Climate Denialism’. The project aims to generate new data that expose the gap between current investment in climate finance and the projected costs of climate change and to inform policy on how to adequately resource transition in a manner that supports the advancement of racial equity.

The Global Systems Institute (GSI) at Exeter is a trans-disciplinary group of researchers, teachers and partners whose goal is to look beyond single 'environmental' issues to a truly systemic view of coupled global changes in the human sphere and the biosphere, and to create and implement transformative solutions towards sustainability.
