This new part-time (0.2 FTE) post is available on a fixed-term basis from 1st June 2023 to 29th February 2024. The role offers the possibility of working remotely.

The Faculty of Health and Life Sciences wishes to recruit a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to participate in the real-world implementation of the D:REACH-HF intervention and it’s service evaluation. The successful applicant will work closely with researchers within the Rehabilitation Enablement in Chronic Heart Failure (REACH-HF) team, Health and Care Innovations Ltd, and the NHS Trusts involved in the Early Adopter Sites project.

The post will include filming an educational video for cardiac rehabilitation Staff to familiarise themselves with the D:REACH-HF platform, developing and implementing questionnaires onto the D:REACH-HF platform, and liaising with the Early Adopter Sites for data collection.

About you

The successful applicant will be able to develop research objectives, projects and proposals; identify sources of research funding and contribute to the process of securing funds and make presentations at conferences and other events.

Applicants will possess a relevant PhD or equivalent qualification/experience in a related field of study. The successful applicant will be a nationally recognised authority in digital cardiac rehabilitation for heart failure and possess sufficient specialist knowledge in the discipline to develop research programmes and methodologies. The successful applicant will also be able to work collaboratively, supervise the work of others and act as team leader as required. Applicants will be able to develop digital training materials, develop evaluation protocols, and collect and analyse quantitative and qualitative data.
