About the Role

Swinburne University of Technology’s Centre for Forensic Behavioural Science (CFBS) department is looking for a postdoctoral research fellow to join their team to work with Distinguished Professor James Ogloff AM. 

The CFBS is Australasia’s leading centre for excellence in the areas of forensic mental health and forensic behavioural science research, teaching and practice development.

The Postdoctoral Research Fellow will support the delivery of research projects, and the development and conduct of new or existing research or evaluation projects, supervision of HDR students, writing of publications and preparation and presentation of findings for dissemination to key internal and external audiences.

About You

To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:

  • Experience in designing and conducting research/evaluation independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment
  • Experience with qualitative and/or quantitative research/evaluation design in forensic psychology, criminology and mental health service delivery
  • Experience in research/evaluation fieldwork including the development and distribution of surveys and qualitative data collection through interview or focus groups
  • A demonstrated capacity to complete advanced writing and analysis tasks, including the preparation and publication of reports and presentations

Qualifications

  • A doctoral qualification in psychology in conjunction with relevant research or evaluation experience
