Postdoctoral Research Fellow – Developing Business-Aware Academics Project

Updated: 4 months ago
Location: Exeter, ENGLAND
Deadline: 08 Jan 2024

Salary Details

The starting salary will be from £41,732 on Grade F, depending on qualifications and experience.

The role

Following the award of a £5 million grant from Research England (UKRI) to the University of Exeter to deliver the Developing Business-Aware Academics project, the Business School is seeking to appoint a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to play a key role in building an evidence base and evaluating the impact and effectiveness of project activities.

The project, led by Professor Alison Truelove, involves working closely with a range of external stakeholders, including the Chartered Association of Business Schools (CABS), other universities, and industrial partners. It will pilot and evaluate a range of initiatives aimed at helping doctoral and early-career researchers – from across all disciplines – to develop the business awareness and competencies that improve innovation and knowledge exchange across academia and industry.

Following work to map existing practice in this area, the successful candidate will oversee the evaluation of project initiatives; this will involve making recommendations on an ongoing basis to inform decisions relating to the direction of the other workstreams, as well as working collaboratively with other members of the project team to generate research and impact outputs.

This Research England (UKRI) funded post is available immediately until the project end date of 30th June 2027. Flexible, hybrid and part-time working will be considered.

About you

You will possess a relevant PhD or equivalent qualification in a related field of study, with evidence of being able to work collaboratively, supervise the work of others and act as team leader as required
