The post

The College wishes to recruit a Postdoctoral Research Associate or Fellow to support the work of Dr Rob Chadwick and Prof Mat Collins. 

The successful applicant will undertake research into climate change in the tropical Pacific and its global impacts. The post will include analysis of existing state-of-the-art climate model and observational datasets, as well as the running and analysis of new climate model experiments. 

About you

The successful applicant will be able to present information on research progress and outcomes, communicate complex information, orally, in writing and electronically and prepare proposals and applications to external bodies.

Applicants will possess a relevant PhD (or be nearing completion for PDRA) or possess an equivalent qualification/experience in a related field of study and be able to demonstrate sufficient knowledge in the discipline and of research methods and techniques to work within established research programmes. Applicants will be able to manipulate complex climate model and observational datasets, assess physical processes and prepare papers for publication in high quality journals.
