Applications are invited for two Postdoctoral Research Associates to work under the supervision of Professor Martin Smith on a research project funded by EPSRC for a period of 3 years. The project involves the development of new methods for the enantioselective synthesis of axially chiral molecules.

You should have a PhD in synthetic organic chemistry or catalysis or a relevant subject area, or have submitted your thesis prior to taking up your appointment. You should have experience in complex organic synthesis and/or catalysis.

The posts are funded by EPSRC and are available from 1 October 2017 for 36 months. The roles will include synthesis, catalysis, and the investigation of reaction mechanisms.

The post will be based in the Department of Chemistry, South Parks Road, Oxford.
