An exciting opportunity has arisen, at The University of Liverpool, for an experienced, dynamic, highly motivated, and innovative procurement professional to help it deliver and optimise the procurement systems and processes. We are looking for a Procurement Systems Manager to help identify and manage risk throughout the procurement process, maintain a variety of electronic systems to support the procurement process, monitor customer benefits, and produce management reports to satisfy internal and external requirements. The role will support and develop our transactional activities and team. You will play a key role in supporting the strategic direction whilst developing others enhancing your management and leadership skills.

The Procurement Systems Manager role at The University of Liverpool will play a pivotal role in managing and optimising procurement processes efficiently and effectively. The role involves working closely with various stakeholders and managing a team to identify and deliver planned activities, as well as the supporting delivery of the Procurement Strategy.

The role presents an exciting opportunity to help grow collaboration and co-creation with internal and external stakeholders. The role will be embedded in Procurement, but will have an institution-wide remit and will link directly with University central teams supporting knowledge exchange, engagement and partnership development.  This is a dynamic role with a mix of proactive and reactive tasks, as well as the opportunity to work independently and develop your own portfolio of activities. We are looking for a skilled communicator, able to engage and enthuse in equal measure and who can bring knowledge of Procurement systems and processes, innovation as well as a successful track record of mechanisms to improve Procurement processes. The role is based at the University campus on a hybrid basis.
