Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Associate to work under the supervision of Professor Richard Compton on a research project funded by the ERC for a period of 12 months. The project involves research on nanoparticles using the nano-impacts technique. Find out more about the Compton research group at:

You should have a PhD in electrochemistry or have submitted your thesis prior to taking up your appointment. You should have hands-on experience of modelling and interpreting nano-impact experiments and a broad appreciation of electrochemistry.

Duties will include managing own academic research and administrative activities and undertaking comprehensive and systematic literature reviews and writing up the results for publication in peer-reviewed journals.

The post will be based in the Rodney Porter Building, South Parks Road, Oxford, OX1 3RQ and must start by 1 October 2017.
