Deadline: 19 Jan 2022

We invite applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate to work alongside Professor Alain Goriely at the Mathematical Institute, University of Oxford. The position is full time, fixed-term for 12 months, and the post-holder will be supported by a grant from the EPSRC. It is available for an immediate start.

The successful candidate will work alongside Professor Goriely to conduct research as part of an exciting new project to develop new mathematical tools and models to address fundamental issues of brain development, function and diseases. They will have the opportunity to write up their results for publication and represent the Oxford Centre for Industrial and Applied Mathematics at external meetings/seminars, whilst also managing their own academic research and administrative activities.

Due to the great number of different interesting problems in this area, the particular project associated with this position is flexible.
