The Role

Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Electrical Engineering with a particular emphasis on Power Electronics. The research project first aims to propose solutions for accurate and efficient modelling of reliability of power converters in offshore wind farms. Then it aims to use these models for active reliability enhancement of offshore power converters, as well as active maintenance management in offshore wind farms.

The project is led by Dr Mahmoud Shahbazi ([email protected] ). The successful applicant will be expected to have strong ability in power electronics (modelling, operation and simulation), mathematical modelling and optimisation.
