POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCH ASSOCIATE IN CHEMISTRY (Electrochemical and spectroscopic characterisation of next-generation lithium ion cathode materials)

Applications are sought for a position in experimental materials discovery funded by the Faraday Institution project in next-generation lithium-ion cathodes. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to electrochemically characterise new cathodes for lithium-ion batteries.

You should have a PhD in chemistry or materials science and a track record of electrochemical or battery research.

The post is available until 30 June 2025.

Any applicants who are still awaiting their PhD to be awarded should be aware that if successful, they will be appointed at grade 6, spine point 30.  Upon written confirmation that they have been successful in being awarded their PhD, they will be moved onto grade 7, spine point 31 from the date of their award.

The University has the right to close the vacancy early if it is deemed that there have been enough applications received
