Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Biochemistry to work under the supervision of Dr Patrick Rabe for a period of up to 24 months.  The project involves the production of new constructs to express and purify enzymes involved in the process of bioluminescence including luciferases and is funded by Wellcome Trust.

Applicants must hold a PhD in Biochemistry, (or be close to completion and have leave to supplicate) at the point of application.  The research requires expertise in protein crystallography and biochemical assay development; experience of mass spectrometry based assays and biophysical methods is desirable.  You will be expected to manage your own academic research and administrative activities. This involves small scale project management, to co-ordinate multiple aspects of work to meet deadlines.

The post will be based in the Department of Chemistry Research Laboratory, 12 Mansfield Road, Oxford, OX1 3TA and is available as soon as possible.
