Overview

About the Role

We are looking to appoint a Post Doctoral Research Associate with a strong background in invivo work and experience carrying out subcutaneous injections. The project is funded by DEBRA UK and will explore the treatment of Junctional Epidermolysis Bullosa (JEB), a rare disorder causing sever skin blistering.  We will compare different mechanisms for delivery of recombinant protein to the skin basement membrane in a mouse model of JEB. Further characterisation of JEB skin after treatment will include wound healing and transcriptomic analysis.

About You

The successful candidate must have PIL A,B and C as well as experience in cutaneous research, skin histology, microscopy and image analysis.

About the Institute/Project

The project will be supervised by Dr Matthew Caley and will be based in the Centre for Cell Biology and Cutaneous Research in the Blizard Institute. The project is in collaboration with the Dr Emanuel Rognoni group at the Blizard Institute.
