We are seeking a Postdoctoral Research Assistant to join the group of Professor Jude Fitzgibbon in the Centre for Genomics and Computational Biology, Barts Cancer Institute.

Essential requirements for this post include a PhD in a relevant biological subject, strong background in molecular and cell biology techniques and experience/interest in epigenetic is desirable.

About the School/Department/Institute/Project

We are seeking a postdoctoral research assistant to join the translational research group of Professor Jude Fitzgibbon in the Centre for Genomics and Computational Biology, to work on a Lymph & Co (an international Dutch Cancer Charity) funded position. The PDRA will investigate the role and interplay between chromatin regulators, KMT2C & D and KDM6, their inhibition and control of gene expression in Germinal Centre, T and Mantle Cell Lymphomas, cancer types addicted to mutations in component of the chromatin machinery (Okosun et al., Nature Genetics, 2014; Korfi et al., Epigenetics, 2017; Carbone et al., Nat Rev Dis Primers, 2019; Heward et al., Blood 2020). The appointed PDRA will be integrated into a multidisciplinary team working in conjunction with bioinformaticians, experimentalists and clinicians on cell lines and primary lymphoma material, and the position also offers an opportunity to gain competency in computational analysis of transcriptomic and epigenetic data.

The post is based at the Charterhouse Square Campus in London. It is full time (35 hours per week), fixed term appointment for 3 years, to start as soon as possible. The starting salary will be Grade 4/5, in the range of £34,733 - £45,479 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
