About the Role

The research post will be for 9 months at the Centre for Advanced Cardiovascular Imaging of the William Harvey Research Institute. The post is intended to support clinical research outputs in the euCanSHare programme (www.eucanshare.eu ).

About You

Tasks involved in the job include:

  • Using cardiovascular imaging data towards the improvement of cardiovascular disease prevention, diagnosis and risk stratification.
  • Make judgements involving complex facts or situations, some of which require analysis, interpretation and comparison of cardiovascular magnetic resonance imaging data.
  • Retrieval, structuring, and pre-processing of cardiac imaging data from UK Biobank including quality control.
  • Contribute to constructing a statistical analysis plan.
  • To write up the findings for publication.
  • To contribute to the overall scientific endeavour of the research group, and to take responsibility for areas of other current projects, as demand requires.

About the Institute/Project

The Advanced Cardiovascular Imaging Centre was established in 2010. This clinical-academic Centre is closely linked to the Department of Imaging at Barts Heart Centre, Barts Health NHS Trust and also collaborates closely with clinical academics from University College London.

The post is based at the 1 St Martin’s Le Grand building in London. It is a full time (35 hours per week), fixed term appointment for 9 months with an expected start date of 1 September 2022. The starting salary will be Grade 4 Research, in the range of £32,087 -£40,797 per annum inclusive of London Allowance.
